Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast helped bring together veterans and employers on Monday, May 4, at the Pasadena Convention Center for the “May the Fourth Be With You” Vet Connect Job Fair, an event focused on supporting Armed Services veterans as they explore new career opportunities.
The event featured a Star Wars-inspired theme that set a lighthearted and welcoming tone throughout the day. Employers, organizers, and staff participated in the spirit of the event with themed costumes, helping create an engaging environment while keeping the focus on connecting veterans with meaningful employment pathways and workforce resources.
Hundreds of veterans attended and had the opportunity to meet directly with more than 150 employers representing a wide range of industries. Participants were able to speak with hiring representatives, review open positions, and learn about services designed to support their transition into civilian employment.
The job fair was made possible through a collaboration between Combined Arms, Workforce Solutions, Texas Veterans Network, and the Texas Veterans Commission. Each organization played a role in supporting veterans across the Gulf Coast region and ensuring access to job opportunities and support services.
