Rachel shares how Workforce Solutions and the Hire Gulf Coast Youth program supported her every step of the way—not only financially but also personally. Through the program, Rachel received assistance that went beyond tuition, helping cover essentials like her uniform while also providing consistent encouragement and guidance.
“The people from the workforce were some of the most down-to-earth, kind people I’ve ever met,” Rachel said. “It wasn’t just my tuition…. They were always there for me in any way, shape, or form that I needed. They weren’t just paying for things—they were checking in on you and making sure you felt good about your program and your experience.”
Rachel emphasized that the support she received allowed her to focus fully on her education and truly enjoy her time in school—something she says may not have been possible otherwise.
“Workforce gave me the opportunity to actually enjoy school,” she shared. “I have no idea where I’d be if not for Workforce. I’m forever grateful.”
