On May 11, 2026, leaders from across industries will gather for the second Houston Economic Mobility Summit, a focused working session aimed at advancing long-term strategies to improve economic opportunity across the region.

Last October, more than 150 leaders from across sectors convened for the inaugural Houston Economic Mobility Summit to explore the question of whether Houston can lead the nation in advancing economic mobility. That meeting generated momentum and highlighted the need for more coordinated, ambitious cross-sector action.

This second summit presents findings from the inaugural Houston Economic Mobility Report, which provides a data-driven analysis of poverty, employment, and income trends across the Houston region. The report is intended to support continued discussion and inform coordinated approaches to economic mobility.

The summit is structured as a working session where participants will engage in discussion and contribute to shaping future coordinated action on economic mobility in Houston. The event brings together a select group of leaders across sectors who are positioned to help advance this work.
