More than 360 job seekers connected with employers, workforce professionals, and community organizations during the Be Successful Job Fair, hosted by Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast in partnership with Houston City Council District B Councilwoman Tarsha Jackson.
Held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Houston Community College North Forest Campus, the event brought together employers, workforce partners, and community organizations with a shared goal of helping individuals access employment opportunities and career resources.
The job fair welcomed 367 job seekers, along with 33 employers representing a variety of industries and eight community resource organizations offering information on services that support long-term career success. Attendees had the opportunity to speak directly with recruiters, learn about current job openings, explore career pathways, and connect with organizations providing workforce and community support.
The event is part of an ongoing partnership between Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast and Councilwoman Tarsha Jackson to expand access to employment opportunities and strengthen workforce development efforts throughout the community. Over the past year, the organizations have collaborated on multiple hiring events designed to connect local residents with employers actively seeking talent.
In addition to exploring available positions, job seekers received information about Workforce Solutions programs and services, including career counseling, training opportunities, job search assistance, and other resources designed to help individuals prepare for and succeed in today’s workforce.
