More than 278 job seekers connected with employers and explored career opportunities during the Be Successful Job Fair on Thursday, September 10, at the Carl Walker Jr. Multipurpose Center in Houston’s Fifth Ward.
Hosted in partnership by Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast and Houston City Council District B Council Member Tarsha Jackson, the job fair brought together 41 employers representing a variety of industries.
Where Job Seekers and Employers Met
Throughout the event, job seekers had the opportunity to meet directly with participating employers, learn about available positions and discuss potential career opportunities.
The event also gave employers an opportunity to meet local job seekers and identify potential candidates for their open positions. Participating employers reported positive results from the job fair, including connecting with potential candidates.
With more than 278 job seekers attending, the event provided a space for employers and members of the Fifth Ward community to make connections around employment opportunities.
