This summer, students with disabilities participating in the Summer Earn and Learn (SEAL) program gained valuable workplace experience through paid work opportunities with local employers. One of those worksites was Mission of Yahweh, which welcomed multiple SEAL participants this summer.
Mission of Yahweh was among the Workforce Solutions employer worksites supporting SEAL participants, with approximately five to six students placed at the organization. The partnership gave students an opportunity to gain experience in a real workplace while developing skills that can support their future employment goals.
SEAL is designed to help students with disabilities build work experience and explore employment opportunities during the summer. Through partnerships with employers across the region, participants can gain exposure to the workplace and develop skills that can help prepare them for the next step in their careers.
