The event will bring employers and job seekers together at NRG Center for a day focused on career connections and employment opportunities.

Meet Employers and Explore Career Opportunities
Hiring Red, White & You! gives job seekers a chance to meet employers face-to-face and learn about available career opportunities. Attendees can speak directly with hiring representatives, ask questions about positions and make connections that can help with their next career move.
The event is especially relevant for veterans and transitioning service members who are exploring civilian employment, but the public portion of the event is open to other job seekers as well.
The Houston event is supported by Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast, the Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Medical Center, Texas Veterans Commission and Combined Arms Texas Veterans Network.
Make the Most of the Hiring Event
Before attending, job seekers can take a few simple steps to be ready to talk with employers. Bring several copies of an updated résumé, review the types of positions you are interested in and be prepared to briefly explain your experience and skills.
If you are a veteran transitioning into civilian employment, consider how your military experience, training and certifications relate to the types of positions you want to pursue.
Most importantly, come prepared to have conversations. A hiring event can be an opportunity not only to apply for a position, but also to learn what employers are looking for and discover career paths you may not have considered.
