Meet Grace Rodriguez: Building Community Through Innovation

February 9, 2026

Grace Rodriguez’s path to workforce leadership is anything but linear, and that’s exactly what makes her perspective to the Board so powerful. A co-founder and executive director of Impact Hub Houston, Grace brings a wide-ranging professional background that spans neuroscience, psychology, design, government relations, consulting, marketing, creative agency work, and venture capital. Along the way, she has co-founded a tech startup hub, TEDxHouston, and an Impact Innovation Accelerator, building ecosystems where innovation and community meet.

What drives Grace is people. Specifically, people who care deeply about their communities. She’s drawn to the workforce board because of the diversity of voices at the table. “You have so many people who are representing so many different sectors of society, so many different industries, all passionate about helping more people get access to training, to education, to 360 support so they can thrive,” she shared. For Grace, that collective commitment is what makes the work meaningful and impactful.

Looking ahead, Grace is optimistic about the future of workforce development in the Gulf Coast region. She points to the dedication of the board and its ability to respond to challenges head-on. Whether facing natural disasters or political obstacles, she sees a region that consistently rises to the occasion. The shared goal, she notes, is making sure the Gulf Coast not only survives but continues to thrive, no matter what comes its way.

Outside of her professional work, Grace is deeply connected to Houston itself. She enjoys immersing herself in everything the city has to offer, from the arts and theater districts to hiking, camping, and exploring neighborhoods on foot. You’ll often find her dancing, attending outdoor festivals, visiting pop-up markets, and supporting local businesses. And, of course, food plays a starring role. Grace embraces Houston’s diverse culinary scene as another way to connect with the city and the people who make it special.

Grace Rodriguez embodies the spirit of community-centered leadership. Through her expansive career, her passion for collaboration, and her love for Houston, she brings a human approach to workforce development, rooted in access, resilience and the belief that thriving communities are built together.
