Workforce and community leaders gathered on March 13, 2026, at MECA TBH in Houston to celebrate Women’s History Month during the fourth annual “Mujeres Exitosas” event, hosted by Que Onda Magazine.
The event honored 70 women for their contributions across fields including law, government, military, and community service, highlighting leadership and impact across sectors that support strong communities and workforce development.
Among those recognized was Juliet Stipeche, Executive Director of the Gulf Coast Workforce Board, whose work in workforce development and public service continues to expand access to career pathways and economic opportunity.
The evening featured keynote remarks from Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County Board Chair Elizabeth Gonzalez Brock, the first Latina appointed to that role, and was emceed by ABC13 anchor Samica Knight.
Following the event, Stipeche shared her appreciation, describing it as a “wonderful evening celebrating outstanding women” and expressing gratitude for the opportunity to be included among leaders across multiple fields.
