Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast participated in the Texas Conference for Employers in Baytown on April 17, joining business leaders, workforce partners, and policymakers for a day focused on supporting employers across the region. Juliet Stipeche, Executive Director of the Gulf Coast Workforce Board, attended the event, highlighting Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast’s ongoing commitment to connecting employers with workforce resources and support.

Hosted by the Texas Workforce Commission’s Office of the Commissioner Representing Employers, the Texas Conference for Employers series provides businesses with practical guidance on employment-related topics and opportunities to connect with workforce partners. Texas Workforce Commission Chairman Joe Esparza attended the Baytown conference, where employers working with veterans were also recognized in collaboration with the Texas Veterans Network.

The conference offered sessions covering a range of topics designed to help employers navigate workforce challenges, including Texas employment law, wage and hour regulations, unemployment claims, employee handbooks, workplace privacy, background checks, and hiring practices. The events are designed for employers of all sizes, including small business owners, HR professionals, and payroll managers.

Stipeche’s participation reflects Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast’s role in supporting regional employers through partnerships, resources, and workforce development initiatives.
